In this edition of Widseth Inspired, we’re featuring Vanessa Hines, a civil engineer in our Rochester office who enjoys blending technical expertise with creative problem-solving.
Vanessa’s work focuses on roads, parks, and underground infrastructure that communities rely on every day. Much of that work goes unseen, but it plays a critical role in helping projects and communities function.
One of the best parts of her work is the collaboration. From the early stages of design, she values open conversations with clients and encouraging honest feedback. By working through ideas together and making adjustments along the way, the entire project is set up for success.
For Vanessa, one of the most rewarding moments comes after months of planning, design, and permitting. When approvals are in place and construction can begin, clients finally get to see their vision become reality. Sharing in that excitement and helping projects move forward is what inspires her work.
