Otter Tail County marked the completion of its new Perham Highway Garage with a public open house on December 3, inviting the community to tour the facility. The project was delivered through collaboration with Widseth, Hammers Construction, and the City of Perham and is designed to support long-term infrastructure needs.
Designed to better serve highway maintenance crews and county residents, the facility includes expanded indoor equipment storage, a salt shed, and a state-of-the-art wash bay for plow trucks. These features will enhance winter road operations, protect county equipment from the elements, and enable crews to respond more efficiently during snow and ice events. County leaders and highway staff emphasized that the garage was designed with real-world, day-to-day needs in mind.

District 1 County Commissioner Dan Bucholz speaks during the Otter Tail County Maintenance Facility Open House in Perham, MN.
Widseth was part of the planning and design team for the project, providing architectural, civil engineering, and structural engineering services, and is proud to have helped bring this county facility to life.
