Widseth celebrated the completion of the new GEOTEK manufacturing facility by having a ribbon-cutting with the project’s design and construction partners.
For more than 30 years, GEOTEK, a Granite Partners manufacturer of fiberglass utility poles, has experienced continued growth. The newly completed 105,000 sq. ft. warehouse and office marks the first of four phases for their campus expansion. Office and manufacturing areas are visually connected by interior windows, while a large conference room overlooks the materials testing lab. Some of the fiberglass products made on-site for U.S. and international clients are featured architectural elements in the office’s ceiling design and office lighting.
After the ribbon-cutting, there was a tour of the production area with a utility pole fabrication demonstration. The event concluded with the stress testing of one of their fiberglass poles from their second-story, main conference room. Widseth designed the conference room with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall to have panoramic views of the testing lab.
