Widseth is proud to partner with the City of Baxter for important upgrades along Design Road and Highway 371. Led by civil engineer Alex Bitter, this project improves stormwater management, strengthens roadway safety, and prepares the area for future growth.
A new 60-inch storm sewer pipe is being installed to ease flooding and provide capacity for future projects, including the planned Highway 210/371 interchange. To make this possible, Widseth’s team proposed a jack and bore tunneling method beneath Highway 371—allowing construction to move forward without disrupting traffic.
These improvements aim to give Baxter a stronger, more resilient infrastructure system for years to come.
