Our archaeology staff is supported by a team of skilled technicians, GIS professionals, and experienced project managers, allowing us to efficiently plan, execute, and document archaeological investigations of all sizes.

Laws, Regulations, and Protocols

State and federal laws require that contractors, architects, and engineers evaluate the potential impact of their projects on archaeological resources. Compliance with regulations such as Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and various state historic preservation statutes is essential for keeping projects on track and avoiding costly delays.

Widseth’s in-house archaeologist brings deep knowledge of these laws and the experience to navigate the regulatory process efficiently. Our team has worked with private clients, as well as local, state, and federal agencies, on projects where cultural resource compliance is a critical step.

Widseth’s Integrated Approach

What sets Widseth apart is our integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Our archaeologist collaborates directly with our architects, engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists—ensuring that potential archaeological concerns are identified early and addressed proactively. This streamlined communication between disciplines allows us to anticipate challenges, reduce risk, and keep projects moving forward smoothly.
